Link building is a daunting task.
We have developed a process that will carefully create incoming links for keywords over time and help your web page to be found by those keywords.
It’s the one thing everyone hates to do, because it takes time a great deal of effort. It takes time to locate quality links like:
- Search Engines
- Business Directories
- Social Networking
- Blogs
- Well Written Articles
- Press Releases
- Other web sites that are willing to exchange business related links
Try doing a web search on the keyword you want to be found for. Then begin the arduous task of reading all those links. Find the web sites that offer an opportunity to link. Many sites will request a reciprocating link – you need to be very selective about that – I am not a big fan of reciprocating links, but if the site is a good solid site and ranks well – I would consider it.
You may find some sites that might fit as a good business type of partner, in another state. I would consider sending an e-mail to them asking to exchange links. Be careful not making it sound like a canned speech. Link Building is a time consuming task
But most of all, I would search for Directories and Search Engines where you can submit your web site for free. Be aware, that the level of spam will increase. You will get e-mails asking for confirmation. When you confirm, your e-mail address may be sent to web marketers. So be sure to use a special e-mail address for all submissions. One you know will be for that spam.
Once you locate the web sites then it takes more time and effort to submit and get approval to be listed – at least on the free search engine sites. You can always pay for the links, but that gets expensive.
Incoming links are extremely important. Important enough for the search engines to change their algorithms to decide on how to rank your web site. The recent updates in Google will really play a larger role on how you are ranked based off the incoming link. One thing to note, that getting listed on black listed link farms will effect your rankings in a negative way, my suggestion is to avoid them. Learn the difference between a quality business link and a link on a link farm.
Search Engines like to dole out high rankings to web sites with loads of quality incoming links. Here are some additional ideas for getting more incoming links:
- Start a blog – write a good article about what you know on your blog on a regular basis – If people like what they read then many will link to your blog or articles – the links can multiply quickly – there are sites that you can submit your blogs to as well.
- Write articles and submit them to different web sites. Be sure to include your web site in the article
- Press Releases are a good way to put the word out about your business, like grand openings, changes, products or services
